Oxymav B – Broad Spectrum Antibiotic

Oxymav B is a soluble, broad-spectrum antibiotic powder formulated with Oxytetracycline, designed for in-water administration to treat respiratory infections and other bacterial diseases in ornamental caged birds. It targets a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, as well as certain Rickettsiae, Chlamydia, Actinomycetes, Mycoplasma, protozoa, and even some larger viruses. Oxymav B works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, making it an effective solution for chronic respiratory disease (CRD) and bacterial enteritis in birds.

Administration Instructions:
To administer, dissolve 5g of Oxymav B in 50mls of drinking water. Provide this solution as the bird’s sole source of drinking water for a period of 3-5 days or as directed by a veterinarian. It is essential to prepare a fresh solution daily. A 50ml dose will treat either two large birds (such as parrots or cockatoos) or up to ten small birds (such as canaries, finches, or budgerigars).

Composition:
Oxytetracycline hydrochloride 10 g/kg.

Oxymav B acts as a broad-spectrum antibiotic, effectively combating a variety of bacterial strains and some larger viruses by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis within the ribosomes.
