The ideal brooder temperature and humidity can vary slightly depending on the type of poultry you’re raising, but here are some general guidelines:

1. Chickens
Temperature: For the first week, the temperature should be around 95°F (35°C) at chick level. Reduce the temperature by 5°F (2.8°C) per week until it reaches around 70°F (21°C), or until the chicks have their adult feathers. After that, they should be able to handle room temperature.
Humidity: Initially, the humidity should be around 50-60%. Gradually decrease it by 5% per week until it reaches 40%.

2. Ducks:
Temperature: Similar to chickens, start with a brooder temperature of around 90-95°F (32-35°C) for the first week. Reduce it by about 5°F (2.8°C) per week until it reaches about 70°F (21°C) or until they’re fully feathered.
Humidity: Maintain a slightly higher humidity for ducks. Start at around 60-70% and decrease it by 5% per week until it reaches 50%.

3. Turkeys:
Temperature: For the first week, keep the temperature around 95°F (35°C). Gradually decrease by about 5°F (2.8°C) per week until it reaches around 70°F (21°C).
Humidity: Start at 55-65% and reduce by 5% per week until it reaches 40%.

4. Quail:
Temperature: Maintain a temperature of around 95°F (35°C) for the first week, then reduce it by about 5°F (2.8°C) per week until it reaches about 70°F (21°C).
Humidity: Begin with a humidity level of around 50-60%. Decrease it by about 5% per week until it reaches 40%.

Remember, these are general guidelines and it’s crucial to monitor the behaviour of your chicks. If they are clustered together under the heat source, they may be too cold. If they are avoiding the heat source and panting, they may be too warm. Adjust the temperature and humidity as needed to ensure the comfort and well-being of your birds.
