Green Tea is a strong antiviral. It contains catechins, which are polyphenolic compounds that are known to exhibit strong anti-influenza activity. A study conducted on chickens by Lee HJ et al., 2012 showed that adding 10 g/kg of green tea to the diet of chickens showed significant antiviral protection against avian influenza.

Herbs such as oregano, sage, parsley, and thyme are especially nutritious for chicks.

Ingredients:

  • Sage – protects against a variety of harmful bacterial and filamentous fungi and yeast
  • Thyme – act’s as a herbal antibiotic especially equipped to tackle respiratory infections, and has antibiotic & antibacterial properties.
  • Rosemary – rich in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds and is commonly used in remedies to help with digestive issues, relieve pain, boost the immune system, improve circulation, and more.
  • Green Tea (decaffeinated) – a strong antiviral. It contains catechins, which are polyphenolic compounds that are known to exhibit strong anti-influenza activity.   • Parsley – a nutritional powerhouse, parsley contains vitamins A, B, C, E, and K, as well as calcium, iron, magnesium, selenium, and zinc. Also aids in blood-vessel development.
  • Oregano – Oregano can help boost chickens’ immune systems and helps fight off E.coli and Salmonella. Adding oregano leaves to chickens’ diet at a rate of 500 ppm of body weight showed it provided them some protection against Eimeria spp, which causes Coccidiosis. When oregano leaves were fed to broilers in a research study, a 59% mortality rate reduction from ascites syndrome-related deaths was observed.
