Nesting Box Blend is designed to support and maintain a healthy nesting environment.
This unique blend of all-natural, dried plants, herbs, and flowers provide a beautiful addition to your nesting box.

Chamomile – Chamomile is known to naturally repel lice, mites, and fleas. It may also act as a natural antiseptic, natural antibiotic, and can assist in calming chickens.
Lavender – Not only does lavender smell amazing but it is a wonderful calming agent that is often used in products for humans as well. Lavender can also assist in deterring flies!
Mugwort – Mugwort is known to naturally repel lice and mites. If the chickens peck and eat it, it may also have a role in encouraging egg laying!
Lemon Balm – Lemon balm is well known as a natural antibacterial and natural anti- inflammatory herb. Lemon balm may have a role in helping your chickens’ tummies. It also smells amazing and can act as a natural rodent repellent.
Peppermint – Peppermint is known to naturally repel insects. Peppermint may also assist in the battle against coccidiosis and is known to have anti-viral properties. The addition of dry or fresh peppermint leaves to the diet of laying hens may have a role in increasing egg weight, egg production, egg mass, and feed intake.
Rosemary – Rosemary is known to naturally repel insects. It has natural antibacterial properties and may assist in calming the chooks while laying.
Calendula – Calendula in a natural insect repellent. If the chooks nibble at the flowers, it may assist in the chooks producing a wonderful bright YELLOW yolk!
Wormwood – Wormwood is a traditional companion plant for chickens, as they peck it, the plant may naturally assist them in cleansing themselves of internal parasites such as worms. In the nesting box, it is also used to repel insects.
Add two tablespoons per nesting box – a little goes a long way
Directions:
Use Nesting Herbs for Hens by sprinkling generously over fresh nesting material and floor litter. Reapply whenever you clean the pen or more often, as needed.
